Shift DetailsMonday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Process ADRs (Additional Documentation Requests).
- Respond to emails/phone messages from providers and patients.
- Review medical records to ensure accuracy, clinical relevance, completeness, and availability for continuing patient care, and process incoming requests from patients and outside facilities.
- Communicate with site leaders, providers, patients, and techs regarding medical records issues.
- Follow the standards and policies for medical records and the services of the healthcare facility.
- Determine the format of the medical record at patient request and troubleshoot basic issues, escalating complex ones appropriately.
- Fax and mail reports; maintain imaging scheduling records and verify HIPAA information for all patients; ensure HIPAA compliance for all releases of information.
- Request reports/images for current patients to support ongoing care.
- Education/Licensing/Certification: High School Education required.
- Experience (years and type): 1+ years in medical records;
Epic experience preferred. - Knowledge and
Skills:
Knowledge of medical terminology;
Knowledge of Windows and Outlook;
Strong oral and written communication skills;
Medical office experience;
Ability to multitask;
Strong customer service skills (internal and external);
Ability to work independently;
Problem‑solving ability;
Ability to handle confidential information;
Physical endurance for prolonged sitting and repetitive tasks;
Excellent organizational and computer skills.
