DescriptionStrive for medical excellence when you join MEDIC as a Paramedic. This is a FULL‑TIME (40 hrs/week) NON‑SEASONAL position requiring open availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Remuneration & Benefits- Starting pay: $25.21 - $27.99 per hour (based on experience)

- Provide basic and advanced life support based on medical and trauma protocols, including interpreting EKGs, defibrillation, administering medications (including controlled substances), endotracheal intubation, cricothyrotomy, chest decompression, and other life‑saving measures.
- Respond to instructions from emergency medical dispatcher and drive a specially equipped emergency vehicle to specified locations.
- Work prescribed schedule and may work extended hours/overtime to ensure 24/7 coverage; able to work effective for extended periods without regular or guaranteed meal or break periods.
- Other duties may be assigned.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Current Paramedic Certification.
- Completion of FEMA classes IS‑100, IS‑200, IS‑700, and IS‑800.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be medically fit for duty as determined by agency‑appointed physicians.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, holidays, nights and weekends.
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, lift and/or move more than 100 lbs.
- Must be able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- Must have proficiency with agency approved driving course and maintain all mandatory con‑ed/in‑service training.
- Must maintain insurability with agency’s insurance carrier; comply with annual respiratory fit testing; comply with all work rules, procedures and standards; adhere to HIPAA privacy requirements.
- Maintain insurability with Agency's insurance carrier.

- Must show proficiency with Agency approved driving course.

- Must be medically fit for duty as determined by agency-appointed physicians.
- Able to work flexible hours; able to work holidays, nights and weekends.
- This position is considered a critical function within the Agency; subject to call back and overtime if required.
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit and lift >100 lbs; operate commercial vehicle in high‑stress environment.
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste or smell; lift and/or move more than 100 lbs.
HIPAA Privacy ActWill limit access to protected health information (PHI) to the information reasonably necessary to do the job. Access to verbal, written and electronic PHI is controlled via user password.
