Operations Manager – Summit Hospitality Group, Ltd.
Operations Manager for the Hotel Division will lead all front desk operations, staff training, inter‑department communication, scheduling, and guest issue resolution. The role requires strong communication, people skills, urgency, and adherence to corporate policies and franchise brand standards. F&B experience is essential for day‑to‑day Operations with The Asbury Restaurant.
Responsibilities & Duties- Manage short and long‑term planning and management of front office operations.
- Develop and recommend budget and labor cost plans in collaboration with the AGM & GM.
- Strict adherence to approved budget and staffing levels to meet customer service goals.
- Maintain guest room inventory and coach employees to reflect corporate and brand service standards.
- Perform all front office staff tasks as needed and manage invoicing, deposits, accounts receivable, scheduling, petty cash, and room inspections.
- Communicate with Housekeeping and maintain public area cleanliness.
- Investigate, analyze, resolve, and report guest complaints in a timely manner.
- Cover open shifts due to call‑offs and low business, and be available all shifts including weekends and evenings.
- Develop and train subordinates and hold people accountable for agreed tasks.
- Maintain information on rates, special packages, and programs.
- Work 50‑hour week, weekends/evenings; hours beyond 50 require approval.
- Duties subject to change and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
- 2‑5 years experience with name‑brand hotel/restaurant companies.
- Progressive management experience 2‑5 years preferred.
- Service‑oriented style, professional presentation, interpersonal skills.
- Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills (English).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader.
- Interest in career progression in hotel/hospitality management roles.
- F&B experience in serving/hosting or leading.
- Flexible work schedule.
- Able to lift 25 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Extended periods of sitting, standing, and moving.
