Talent Manager, HR Manager
The Director of Compensation is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization’s compensation strategy to attract, motivate, and retain top talent. This role ensures all programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Design and lead the company’s overall compensation strategy, including salary structures, short- and long-term incentive plans, and commission programs.
- Conduct market analyses to evaluate and benchmark compensation programs, ensuring competitiveness and internal equity.
- Develop and manage executive compensation programs in coordination with the executive team and/or compensation committee.
- Oversee annual compensation processes, including merit increases, bonus planning, and salary reviews.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA).
- Partner with HR Business Partners and Finance to align compensation initiatives with budgeting, workforce planning, and talent strategies.
- Provide guidance and training to HR and business leaders on compensation philosophy, policies, and decision-making frameworks.
- Monitor trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure the organization remains competitive and compliant.
- Prepare and present compensation reports, dashboards, and insights to senior leadership and the board as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- Professional certification (e.g., CCP, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR) strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a compensation leadership role.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and HRIS platforms (ADP experience preferred).
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with sales and commission compensation structures and programs.
