Infrastructure Engineer III –Data Science Administrator

Job Summary and
Description:
- Administration:
Oversee the Storage and Backups Solutions including Updates/Patches, maintain and improve the High-Performance Computing environment - Infrastructure Design & Implementation:
Architect, deploy, and manage infrastructure solutions across virtualized environments, on-premises data centers, and cloud platforms. - System Optimization:
Monitor and enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability. - Cloud Management:
Oversee cloud migrations, hybrid cloud integrations, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices. - Security & Compliance:
Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance standards. - Automation:
Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve operational efficiency. - Disaster Recovery:
Design and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans. - Collaboration:
Partner with software development, Dev Ops, and network teams to support application deployments and troubleshoot issues. - Mentorship:
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers. - Capacity Planning:
Analyze infrastructure usage and forecast future needs. - Documentation:
Create and maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures. - Other Tasks:
Perform other tasks as assigned by IT Management. - On call Rotation:
Work and will be available for after-hours support and projects
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience required.
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure.
- Expertise in server operating systems and infrastructure technologies.
- Proficiency with hypervisor technologies, Hyper-V preferred.
- Expertise with enterprise storage and backup solutions, Pure and Rubrik experience preferred.
- Experience with Data Science and High Performance Computing environments (x86, GPU, Backup, Storage Architecture).
- Exposure to AI tools and infrastructure support for machine learning and data analytics.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred) and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to multitask and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in automation and system management tools.
- Experience with containerization and cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with network protocols, security, and system monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of scripting languages and cloud services offerings.
- Experience in an enterprise-level datacenter environment.
- Certificate management and deployments.
- Lifecycle management of data center resources.
- Patch management and threat vulnerability management.
Salary
:
The salary range for this position is $125,000 USD to $145,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate and may vary based on education, experience, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market data. Geographic location may affect the offer.
