Position OverviewThe Computer/Software Engineer II (E2) supports HM&E cybersecurity initiatives by developing software, processing data, and testing activities across shipboard and lab environments. The role contributes to secure coding, CI/CD workflows, semantic data modeling, and troubleshooting to deliver reliable, mission‑ready cybersecurity tools. The engineer works closely with senior staff to develop software capabilities, support system configuration, and produce high‑quality technical documentation and test artifacts.
Responsibilities- Develop and modify software components in Java, Python, Go, or C++ and support unit/system testing.
- Assist in data parsing, modeling, and validation using Semantic Web technologies (RDF/OWL).
- Support CI/CD pipelines, secure coding practices, and code‑quality automation.
- Contribute to shipboard or lab configuration, troubleshooting, and documentation updates.
- Use tools such as Git/Git Lab, Jenkins/Tekton, Sonar Qube/Coverity, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Produce source code, test artifacts, and technical documentation in accordance with program requirements.
- Follow Navy cybersecurity policies, RMF processes, and required training protocols; support remote/onsite work and occasional travel.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program, OR
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Data Science, or Information Sciences.
- One (1) year as an electrical/computer/software engineer or practitioner in computer/data/information sciences.
- One (1) year developing software in Java, Python, Go, or C++.
- One (1) year applying Semantic Web technologies (OWL, RDF).
- One (1)+ years developing HPC code or optimizing parallelization/storage in HPC pipelines.
- Programming in one or more high‑level languages (Java, Python, Go, C++).
- Familiarity with Semantic Web technologies or HPC concepts.
- Exposure to software testing, CI/CD, and secure coding techniques.
- Ability to prepare technical documentation and support troubleshooting tasks.
- Completion of mandatory Government security training (OPSEC, CUI, Cybersecurity 101).
- Compliance with Cyber Workforce (CSWF) requirements at IAT Level I.
- Ability to work effectively remotely in cross‑functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Work LocationUnited States – Remote. This position may require periodic travel to Pantheon Data office locations or client sites based on client needs.
CompensationSalary range up to $60,256. Actual compensation will be based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
