About the RoleThe Teradata Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance data solutions using Teradata technologies. This role involves defining enterprise data architecture strategies, creating data models, and ensuring optimal performance for analytics and reporting platforms. The architect collaborates with business stakeholders, data engineers, and IT teams to deliver robust data platforms that support decision‑making across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and architecture of enterprise data warehouse solutions using Teradata.
- Develop integration strategies and performance optimization techniques.
- Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
- Develop reusable Python scripts for automation, data transformation, and validation.
- Evaluate Teradata platform features and create technology roadmaps.
- Establish platform standards, integration patterns, and governance frameworks.
- Perform Proof of Concept (POC) for new capabilities and onboard pilot projects.
- Oversee ETL/ELT processes and data migration strategies.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- At least 5 years of experience in Teradata solutions and architecture.
- Strong background in Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) concepts, dimensional modeling, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in Teradata tools and utilities (TPT, BTEQ, Fast Load, Multi Load).
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with ETL tools (Informatica, SAS DI).
- Familiarity with Teradata Vantage features like Query Grid, NOS, and Clear Scape Analytics.
- Hands‑on coding experience in Python or similar scripting languages.
Hourly Rate: $70 - $73 per hour. This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
