Data Platforms Engineer

Overview

ADI is seeking a passionate Data Platforms Engineer to design, develop, and maintain our enterprise data platforms. As the Engineer of Data Platforms, you will be part of a talented engineering and operations team focused on building and supporting secure, performant, and scalable next gen data platforms that include Snowflake, Databricks, MS Fabric, Power

BI, DBT, Airflow, Azure data services, SQL Server database and modern AI/ML technologies. This role will help ensuring our data infrastructure meets both present and future needs while adhering to governance, compliance and operational excellence.

• Platform Development – end-to-end engineering data platforms, ensuring platform reliability, scalability, and extensibility that evolves with the business goals and customer needs
• Build reusable frameworks and automation using snowflake cloud, Git Hub, Azure Data Factory, DBT, or similar tools.
• Maintaincritical infrastructure, including OLTP databases, near real-time data pipelines, batch processing systems and frameworks that make data infrastructure accessible for engineering teams
• Administer, configure, maintain and support data, analytics and cloud data platforms
• Manage and administer data security and protection to protect the databases against threats or unauthorized access.
• Contribute to data modeling, partitioning, indexing, clustering, and performance optimization efforts in Snowflake and other data platforms, following established best practices
• Resource Monitoring, cost optimization, data validation and quality checks inbuilt into the data pipeline
• Maintain run books and knowledge bases for platform operations team
• Ensure seamless integration of data systems across the company, collaborating with data engineering and analytics teams to align solutions with business needs
• Performs after-hours support for critical production systems with occasional, scheduled maintenance or release deployments and provide on call support as needed

• 2+ years' overall experience designing, deploying, managing and supporting RDBMS, Data Warehouse systems, Data Lake, and BI solutions, including working with any platforms such as, SQL Server, Snowflake Cloud, Databricks, DBT, ADF (Azure Data Factory) and other Azure services
• Advanced SQL proficiency
• Proficiency in Snowflake cloud advanced capabilities
• Hands-on public cloud experience including experience with technologies and tools such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Configuration Management, and Provisioning Automation with tools such as Github
• Understanding of security practices and certificate management
• Experience with orchestration tools

• Certifications in cloud technologies, data management, or data engineering (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Snowflake Snow Pro core/Advanced)
• Understanding of enterprise data management principles
• Experience with AI/ML technologies and MLOps capabilities and tools
• Experience with Data Platforms administration
