Department DetailThe Internet Evangelism department takes the Gospel to the world through , a ministry built on digital tools and online strategies. Through websites like and various social media platforms, the Good News goes out in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Arabic, Russian, and American Sign Language. Online visitors to these pages engage with trained volunteers through chat, private messaging, texts, and emails to get their spiritual questions answered.
Those who respond to the Gospel invitation are mentored by discipleship volunteers as they go through online Bible study courses and are referred to local churches in their area.
The Senior Technology Manager works in-office at our Charlotte ministry headquarters and is responsible for Internet Evangelism’s core technologies. He or she will work cross functionally among vendors, operations, language managers, developers, designers, and other relevant stakeholders to manage the maintenance, support, integration, and development of Internet Evangelism (IE) applications and websites, with an aim to increasing the fruitfulness and effectiveness of our global online evangelism ministries.
The Senior Technology Manager is a key leadership position in the Internet Evangelism team. The successful candidate will have a passion for global evangelism, thrive working on a team, and possess a drive to improve processes and technological solutions to serve people well and make their ministry more effective.
- Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ

- Participates in daily BGEA staff devotions including Bible reading, and leading group prayer as schedule permits
- Demonstrates behavior aligned with BGEA’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Hallmarks, policies, and expectations
- Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence
- Maintains a detailed knowledge of all Internet Evangelism (IE) digital tools and technologies and seeks to improve operational efficiency and user experience wherever possible
- Digital tools include a mix of custom and commercial software including but not limited to ministry databases, customized websites and landing pages, volunteer management platforms, email communication systems, learning management systems, and chat tools
- Project manage all system or tool development with internal dev teams, outside vendors, and commercial software providers, developing and maintaining Technology roadmaps for core toolsets in coordination with IE team leadership
- Proactively communicates with all stakeholders in development efforts
- Creates and maintains effective internal departmental processes for staff to communicate, plan, and request new technology needs
- Evaluates any new web based technology systems for suitability to meet the overall goals of Internet Evangelism and compatibility to work within its existing technology structure
- Coordinates deployment of new tools and/or Technology updates between Internet Evangelism staff and volunteers and appropriate developers to ensure controlled releases with clear communication and minimal user impact
