Senior Manager, Operations Technology at Krispy Kreme

Senior Manager, Operations Technology will be crucial in building out our technology practice. This position coordinates and supports day‑to‑day development, testing and maintenance of the company’s operational platforms, including solutions for logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, demand & production planning, route management, and related functions. It is a hands‑on leadership role that combines architecture, agile development, a product mindset, and exceptional execution with a focus on business collaboration and a multi‑disciplined team of technologists.
ATASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Leadership
- Provide technical direction and industry best practices for operational systems
- Be a thought leader, solving business challenges through technology while aiming to reduce overall cost and accelerate speed to market
- Collaborate closely with technology leaders in Infrastructure & Security, Corporate Functions & Data, and Shop/Retail Solutions to ensure alignment and seamless integration across the broader technology landscape
Business Partnership
- Daily teamwork with Operations, Logistics, Production Planning, and Manufacturing
- Ownership of external vendor relationships required to provide operational solutions, platforms, and meet critical commercial needs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners and stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver solutions which support their objectives
Product Mindset
- Think and act like an owner of your technology portfolio
- Be an advocate for optimization, assisting the team in capabilities prioritization, business results measurement (defining and delivering outcomes) while leveraging data‑driven decision making
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation for back‑of‑house processes and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
Solution Delivery
- Maintain high standards for predictable, consistent solution delivery
- Provide ongoing analytical and technical support of current platforms and related integrations
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of all operational technology platforms
Technical
- Proficient with both commercial & custom developed operations technology
- Highly skilled at building enterprise APIs and high‑availability architectures
- Experience leading critical systems (including logistics platforms and product manufacturing/planning)
- Familiarity with modern software development tools and cloud environments
- Four‑year degree in information technology, computer science, MIS or other related field
- 8+ years’ experience leading complex technology and architecture initiatives
- 4+ years’ experience working with back‑of‑house systems, operations platforms and related technology solutions
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
- Proactively and effectively communicate cross‑functionally
- Demonstrated people leadership experience
- Highly adaptable and willing to work through ambiguity, exhibit a growth mindset and consistently deliver technical and business outcomes
- Experience in supporting retail, CPG and/or the QSR industry is preferred, but not required
