SQL Developer

Location: Charlotte, NC

Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Developer / BI Specialist with a strong background in MS SQL Server database design, complex query development, and business intelligence tools. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in database engineering and reporting solutions, with exposure to financial services—particularly advisory products.

• Database design and optimization:
  Architect, design, and maintain MS SQL Server databases ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Stored procedures and queries:
  Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex T-SQL and PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Reporting solutions:
  Design and deliver reports using MS Reporting Services and Power BI to support business decision-making.
• ETL processes:
  Build and manage ETL workflows using MS SSIS for data integration across multiple systems.
• Job scheduling and automation:
  Implement and manage enterprise scheduling solutions using Broadcom Auto Sys.
• File transfer management:
  Configure and support IBM Connect:
  Direct (NDM) for secure and reliable data transfers.
• Financial services domain expertise:
  Apply knowledge of advisory products to design solutions aligned with industry standards and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including business analysts, application developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in database security, backup, and disaster recovery planning.

  Direct (NDM): 3 years
• Strong knowledge of financial services domain, especially advisory products.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based data platforms (Azure SQL, AWS RDS).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to technical standards.
