Vulnerability Scanning & Assessment :
Perform vulnerability scans using tools like Tenable Nessus, analyze results, and prioritize findings for remediation.
Configuration Assessment :
Evaluate system configurations against industry standards (e.g., CIS benchmarks) and ensure compliance.
File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) :
Implement and maintain FIM solutions, analyze file changes, and investigate suspicious activities.
Security Policy Development & Implementation :
Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
Incident Response : Participate in incident response activities, including investigation and remediation of security breaches.
Collaboration : Work with cross-functional teams (IT, network, development) to implement and maintain security controls.
Security Training & Awareness :
Provide security training and awareness to staff.
Monitoring & Logging :
Monitor security logs, analyze events, and identify potential threats.
Penetration Testing : Conduct penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in systems and networks.
Risk Management : Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks.
Security Technology Implementation :
Implement and maintain security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems, and other security devices.
Documentation : Maintain documentation of security policies, procedures, and configurations.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Strong understanding of security principles, technologies, and best practices.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Tenable Nessus).
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., CIS benchmarks).
- Experience with file integrity management(FIM) solutions.
- Prefer experience with Trip Wire FIM
- Experience with incident response.
- Ability to analyze security logs and events.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
