Network Engineer

Job Summary
Plan, design, deploy, and manage Cisco‑based network systems, including firewalls, VoIP, wireless, and routing, while coordinating with WAN providers and managing vendor relationships.

This Is What You’ll Do

• Design and implement network systems in a primarily Cisco environment, including firewalls, VoIP, wireless, switching/routing, and endpoint protection.
• Coordinate WAN activities and manage communications vendors.
• Document and apply best practices for network design, LAN switching, cable management, and fault detection.
• Monitor network and infrastructure health, performing performance reporting and root‑cause analysis on network and Windows server systems.
• Support integration of new businesses, providing help desk augmentation for Tier One and Tier Two issues.
• Maintain remote locations and corporate office environments, installing and configuring donor center, server, or network equipment.
• Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to isolate and resolve infrastructure issues, escalating as necessary.
• Collaborate on on‑call schedules, including night or weekend coverage as required.

This Is What It Takes

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of four (4) years of network support experience, including Cisco router, switch, and VoIP installation.
• Proven administration of Cisco Call Manager, Unity, and IOS.
• Knowledge of Cisco ASAs, ACLs, IDS, and other security functions.
• CCNA (Routing & Switching) certification required; CCNA (Voice) preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in root‑cause analysis and preventive measures for service interruption recovery.
• Availability for after‑hours and on‑call support, including night or weekend coverage.
