Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated Technical Writer to join their team. As a Technical Writer, you will be part of the Documentation Support team supporting application modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location / Pay

Charlotte, North Carolina | $46.57/hr

What's the Job?
  • Develop and maintain user-friendly documentation for applications transitioning from legacy systems to modern platforms.
  • Assist in creating onboarding guides and reference materials to facilitate quick understanding of application functionality and ecosystem placement.
  • Document installation processes and assess their potential impact on applications.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to gather accurate information and ensure documentation reflects current workflows and modernization updates.
  • Support knowledge transfer for approximately 45 applications across multiple teams, ensuring documentation is organized, accessible, and aligned with modernization goals.
Requirements
  • 2–4 years of experience as a Technical Writer in technology or software environments.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, concise documentation suitable for diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with documentation tools and platforms; experience with Translation Management Systems (TMS) is a plus.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with multiple teams.
  • Exposure to application modernization projects or legacy-to-modern migrations is preferred.
