Mainframe Developer
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Pay Range: $55.00-$59.00/hr
What's the Job?- Develop, maintain, and optimize mainframe applications supporting transaction processing.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams across 16 scrum teams in an Agile environment.
- Support the integration of AI tooling for user story refinement and API-level workflows.
- Ensure the stability and scalability of critical mainframe applications that support business operations.
- Contribute to modernization initiatives by leveraging mainframe technologies and AI concepts.
- Proficiency in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and Endeavor.
- Experience with tools and methodologies like Jira, Confluence, and Agile practices.
- Strong conceptual understanding of Generative AI (GenAI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and related tooling.
- Awareness of platforms such as Gemini, GPT, Claude, etc.
- Ability to understand and support AI workflows through API structures, with conceptual fluency (hands‑on experience preferred but not mandatory).
