SSO Production Support Engineer
Join Apex Systems to support a large financial client as a Single Sign-On (SSO) Production Support Engineer. This is a 12-24 month contract position with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite/2 days remote). The role requires working a monthly on‑call rotation.

The engineer will manage incidents around SSO platforms and integrated applications, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues reported by monitoring tools and ticketing systems. The position requires strong knowledge of SSO tools, authentication protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect, FIDO, SAML, etc.), and expertise in troubleshooting SSO integrations.
Required Qualifications- 4+ years of information security applications and systems experience
- 2+ years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting SSO platforms such as Okta or Ping
- Demonstrated ability supporting applications in a distributed, highly available, mission‑critical environment
- Proficient in Agent‑Based, Web‑Based and Federated Authentication and Authorization standards
- Strong hands‑on experience with industry‑standard SSO technologies and protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect, FIDO, SAML 2.0)
- Experience utilizing monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog) and investigating logs
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of LDAP and Active Directory services, MFA, risk‑based authentication, and privileged access management
- Familiarity with deployments and integration of IAM solutions within the cloud (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of complex enterprise systems and frameworks including frontends, middleware, services layer, database, backend, and downstream interfaces
- Strong communication ability and experience working on bridge and triage calls
- Knowledge of Kubernetes containerization strategy
Pay Range: $53–$57 per hour. Contract length: 12–24 months.
