We’re looking for a QA Lead / Senior QA Engineer to own quality across the platform. This is a hands‑on Senior QA role with leadership responsibility.
You will:
- Own end‑to‑end quality strategy
- Build and expand test automation
- Act as the voice of quality across product and engineering
- Help define what QA looks like at Fan Connect as we grow
- Own quality across web apps, backend APIs, and connected devices
- Partner closely with engineering and product to shape testability early
- Define QA standards, test plans, and release readiness criteria
- Advocate for quality without slowing the team down
- Design, build, and maintain automated test suites (Cypress, Playwright, or similar)
- Identify where automation provides the most leverage vs. manual testing
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Continuously improve test reliability and coverage
- Perform exploratory, regression, and integration testing
- Test across actual venue hardware:
Samsung Tizen / LG webOS TVs, Bright Sign media players, etc. - Validate integrations with sports data feeds and POS systems
- Help troubleshoot complex, real‑world issues that only show up at scale
- Mentor junior QA engineers as the team grows
- Help define future QA roles, processes, and hiring needs
- Lay the groundwork for a scalable QA function
- 5+ years of QA or software testing experience
- Strong experience with test automation (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, etc.)
- Comfortable writing and maintaining automated tests in modern web stacks
- Experience testing APIs, web apps, and integrated systems
- Solid understanding of CI/CD workflows
- Excellent communication skills - you can explain risk clearly and pragmatically
- Comfortable working in a fast‑moving product environment
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- You’ve worked with connected devices, hardware, or IoT systems
- You’ve tested systems involving real‑time data or live events
- You’ve helped scale QA teams
- You’re a sports fan
- Your work directly impacts live stadium experiences
- You’ll have real ownership, not just test execution
- You’ll influence product quality, architecture, and process
- You’ll help shape the future QA organization
If you’re excited about working on technology in the world of live sports, apply now to be part of our team in Charlotte, NC.
