Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Identity and Access Management (IAM) Business Analyst with 8 to 10 years of IT/business analysis experience. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical IAM implementations by gathering, analyzing, and documenting IAM-related processes, use cases, and solutions.
This role is critical in driving the successful delivery of IAM programs, such as identity governance, access reviews, SSO, MFA, and privileged access management, by aligning business needs with security and compliance objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with business units, security teams, and IT stakeholders to understand and capture IAM-related requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements.
- Analyze existing IAM processes (e.g., joiner-mover-leaver, access requests, reviews) and define target-state processes for identity lifecycle, access provisioning, role definitions, and policy enforcement.
- Create clear documentation: user stories, business process flows, use cases, functional specs, and test scenarios.
- Collaborate on the configuration and deployment of IAM tools (e.g., SailPoint, Okta, One Identity, Azure AD, Ping Identity, Cyber Ark) and assist with role mining, entitlement reviews, access certification, and integration planning.
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and validate that implemented IAM solutions meet business, security, and compliance requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business units, providing regular updates, impact assessments, and issue resolution guidance.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8 to 10 years of professional experience, with at least 4 to 5 years focused specifically on IAM or information security.
- Experience working in complex IAM environments across multiple platforms and systems.
- CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent Business Analysis certification.
- Security certifications such as CISA, CISSP (associate), or vendor-specific IAM certifications (e.g., SailPoint BA Certified).
