Base Pay Range
$35.00/hr - $65.00/hr

Job SummaryThe SAP Functional Support Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the Go-Live and post-implementation phases of a new SAP system at client’s U.S. manufacturing plant in Charlotte. This position ensures seamless integration of SAP MM, SD, and PP modules into production, logistics, and planning processes while driving digital transformation initiatives and supporting operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities- Lead IT-enabled manufacturing projects, including APS, MES, WMS, and SAP ERP integration.
- Serve as the business interface to the SAP team and ensure accurate mapping of production, logistics, planning, and warehouse processes.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, reports, and risk registers; align milestones with operational readiness.
- Coordinate across IT, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance, ensuring clear communication and senior-management updates.
- Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and translate them into solution specifications.
- Support testing, validation, cutover, and readiness activities for SAP and related systems.
- Assess current digital capabilities, propose target-state IT architecture, and identify automation and Industry 4.0 opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with IT architecture, cybersecurity, data governance, and operational standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing systems and processes.
- Anticipate risks and implement mitigation and contingency plans.
- 5-10 years hands‑on experience with SAP S/4
HANA S4 Hanna
-MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales & Distribution), PP (Production Planning) modules - Proven track record in SAP implementation or support during Go-Live phases.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot functional issues and guide end-users.
- Experience coordinating cross‑functional projects (IT, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, data governance, and IT architecture standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with APS, MES, WMS, and ERP integration projects.
- Background in digital transformation and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
- PMP or Prince2 certification.
- Familiarity with greenfield factory launches.
- Ability to identify and implement automation opportunities.
- Strong workshop facilitation and change‑management skills.
