QA Lead, IT​/Tech, IT QA Tester ​/ Automation

Overview

Akkдом is seeking a QA Lead for a contract with a client in Charlotte, NC / Minneapolis, MN / Dallas, TX / Atlanta, GA.

You will design and manage secure, scalable ODS solutions for reporting and decision realism, while documenting Power

BI requirements and delivering dashboards.

$45/hour to $49/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience(priority, education, geographic location, and other factors).

• Lead QA efforts for onshore teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, quality standards, and test strategies.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Cucumber, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Define and implement test plans and automation frameworks, driving continuous improvement in QA processes and tools.
• Coordinate with offshore QA teams, acting as the primary point of contact, scheduling sync-ups, and ensuring timely communication of priorities.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation including test cases, defect reports, and provide regular QA status updates to stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 6+ years in Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Selenium, Cucumber, and test automation frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience in data migration projects (People Soft), including data cleansing and QA leadership for onshore/offshore teams.
