Job Title: Workday Payroll, Time & Absence Functional Configurator
Duration: 12-month contract-to-hire
Location: Remote
Required Pay Scale: $75-80/hour W2

Job Summary:
The Workday Payroll, Time & Absence Functional Configurator will configure, enhance, test, deploy, and support Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Leave Administration, and related HCM functionality.
This role will partner with Payroll, Human Resources, Benefits, Technology, Reporting, Security, Integrations, and vendor teams to deliver scalable solutions supporting payroll operations, regulatory compliance, payroll transformation, employee time, and leave processes.
Project Details:
Configure and maintain Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence Management, and Leave Administration functionality.
The consultant will configure earnings, deductions, payroll calculations, processing rules, work schedules, time calculations, overtime rules, absence plans, leave programs, accrual schedules, eligibility rules, validations, and related business processes.
The work also includes payroll reconciliation, parallel testing, system enhancements, Workday release support, production troubleshooting, reporting, documentation, and deployment readiness.

- Eligibility rules, condition rules, and validation rules
- Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence business-process configuration
- Calculated fields
- Payroll reconciliation and data validation
- SIT, UAT, regression testing, and payroll parallel testing
- Production support and troubleshooting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Workday Payroll implementation experience
- Payroll transformation or outsourcing experience
- Payroll-frequency conversion experience
- Workday security configuration
- Workday reporting and dashboards
- Gross-to-net reporting
- Tax-variance and costing reports
- Workday integrations
- Benefits and Core HCM experience
- Cutover and deployment-readiness experience
- Tier 2 or Tier 3 application support
- Agile or Scrum experience
