Department Detail – The BGEA Information Technology (IT) department consists of the following areas:
Operations (networking/routing, servers, storage, security cameras, telephony), Service Desk (end-user hardware and software management/support, event support, general IT assistance), Cybersecurity (threat defense, monitoring/analysis, awareness, and compliance), Enterprise Solutions (application and web development, data visualization, report writing, database management), and Enterprise Solutions Support (Donor/CRM, Financial, HR, and other ERP type solutions support). The IT department furthers the mission of BGEA through supporting, developing, scaling, and securing the assets, infrastructure, and programs required by all areas of the ministry while maintaining and ensuring their availability.

Job Summary – The People System Administrator III provides advanced administration, support, and troubleshooting of the ministry’s People Soft HCM applications across demo, development, test, gold, and production environments. Duties include installation and maintenance of related servers and applications, using tools such as People Tools, Process Scheduler, Web Logic, Integration Broker, etc. This role works closely with functional analysts, infrastructure and security teams, and stakeholders within the IT and HR departments.

• Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence

• Administer and support People Soft HCM environments across the application lifecycle
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Application Server, Process Scheduler, Web Server, and Integration Broker
• Perform People Soft environment builds, refreshes, migrations, patches, and upgrades
• Monitor system health, performance, batch processing, and application availability
• Actively monitor and apply critical updates and security patches from vendors and services to manage exposures, risks, and vulnerabilities
• Troubleshoot complex production incidents and perform root-cause analysis
• Troubleshoot integrations, web services, connectivity, SSL certificates, and middleware issues
• Work closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, development, and functional teams
• Support People Tools upgrades and application maintenance activities
• Develop technical documentation, procedures, and operational runbooks
• Identify opportunities for automation and improvements to system reliability and support processes
• Participate in change management, incident management, and on-call support as required
