We are seeking a highly technical and detail-oriented Senior Tableau Administrator to join our Analytics Platform team within the Analytics organization. This role owns governance, monitoring, performance, and administrative automation for our self-hosted Tableau Server environment on AWS, and brings deep working knowledge of the underlying server, networking, and authentication architecture to troubleshoot issues and partner effectively with the teams that own them.

The Tableau Administrator will partner closely with IT/Infrastructure, Information Security, Data Engineering, Product/Engineering, and Client Services to deliver a secure, reliable, and scalable analytics platform that supports both internal reporting and client-facing dashboards embedded in Judi.

• Infrastructure, Networking & Security Partnership
  • Serve as the Analytics subject matter expert on Tableau Server architecture across development, staging, and production environments, partnering with IT/Infrastructure on installations, upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.
  • Apply working knowledge of multi-node topology, high availability, backup/restore, and disaster recovery to inform infrastructure decisions and validate upgrades and recovery tests.
  • Leverage understanding of AWS hosting, Linux/Windows server environments, load balancers, reverse proxies, DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, and firewalls/VPCs to diagnose issues and elevate effectively to owning teams.
  • Partner with IT and Information Security on authentication and identity integrations (SAML/SSO via Okta/Azure AD, SCIM, AD/LDAP), troubleshooting user access and login issues.
  • Partner with Data Engineering on secure Snowflake connectivity (OAuth, key-pair authentication, drivers, private connectivity) and resolve connection-related issues.
  • Support security audits, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST) for the analytics platform.
• Governance & Access Management
  • Own the Tableau governance model, including site and project structure, permissions, groups, and least-privilege access patterns.
  • Design and enforce row-level security (RLS) and data access controls for internal and client-facing content.
  • Manage content certification, naming conventions, content lifecycle (stale content cleanup), and licensing/seat allocation.
  • Maintain documentation of the permissions model, access requests, and audit trails to ensure the platform is auditable and supportable
• Embedded Analytics Support
  • Partner with Product/Engineering and Client Services to ensure embedded Tableau content within Judi and client-facing portals is secure, performant, and correctly permissioned for each client.
  • Apply knowledge of Connected Apps, JWT-based authentication, and embedding APIs to help troubleshoot embedded authentication, session, and permissions issues.
