Hourly Range: $27.02-$33.83
This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Pay rates are based on education, skill, experience level and internal equity. Internal equity considerations include an assessment of the applicant's salary history and qualifications in comparison to the market rate and the requirements for the job.

PositionSummary
A Fingerprint Examiner is responsible for analyzing and comparing fingerprints to identify individuals involved in criminal investigations. They use specialized equipment and techniques to collect, preserve, and analyze fingerprint evidence. They work closely with law enforcement agencies to provide accurate and reliable fingerprint identification, assisting in solving crimes and providing expert testimony in court proceedings. Additionally, they may also assist in the development of fingerprint databases and the training of other forensic professionals.
Responsibilities- Positively identify all arrestees accurately and positively, with fingerprints, and ensure all arrest information pertains to the arrestees being processed through the Arrest Processing Center.

- Court Ordered Expungements
- Verification of DNA Blood Samples
- Processing of juvenile fingerprint cards, processing unknown deceased fingerprint cards
- Faxing and emailing mugshots
- Assisting public with stolen identity cases
- Court testimony
- Provide timely customer service to the entire Criminal Justice System and public at large
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Associate degree or two-year technical certificate, or a combination of relevant education and relevant experience.

Certifications:
Science of Fingerprints Certification, SBI AFIS Certification.
- Bachelor’s Degree
Candidates who qualify for an interview will be tested in the accuracy of latent print identifications and fingerprint pattern recognition. Candidates must pass the test to be qualified for this position.
