THE DAY-TO-DAY:
As a Patent Prosecution associate in the Litigation Department, you’ll have the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking technologies in collaboration with senior attorneys. You'll also have the opportunity to become involved in patent, trademark, copyright and trade secrets litigation.
YOU HAVE:
2-4 years of patent litigation experience;
Responsibilities will include preparation and prosecution of patent applications, including appeals before the BPAI, prepare patent non-infringement and invalidity analyses and opinions, and conduct patent due diligence studies. Litigation experience in other intellectual property litigation matters, including trademark, copyright, trade dress, trade secrets, anti-counterfeiting, etc. would be helpful, but not required.
Excellent academic credentials, analytical skills, and verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Material Science.
Admission to the USPTO and admission to the North Carolina Bar, or the ability to waive in to the North Carolina Bar, are also required.
