Global Services Staff Attorney (Part Time, 20 Hours/Week — Flexible) About the Role

Moore & Van Allen PLLC seeks a part‑time Staff Attorney to join our Global Services team serving regional, national, and international clients. The practice spans general corporate representation, mergers & acquisitions, inbound/outbound international trade, and Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs). Work often includes advising U.S. and foreign clients on market entry, cross‑border trading opportunities, joint ventures, licensing, distribution, and other commercial arrangements.

• Draft, review, and negotiate corporate and commercial agreements (franchise, distribution, licensing, JV, and M&A)
• Support ESOP transactions from an M&A perspective
• Advise clients on international business matters and cross‑border agreements
• Manage deal work streams, filings, and closing documentation
• Deliver practical, business‑focused legal counsel with timely communication

Required:

• J.D. from an accredited law school; admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 3–5 years of experience in corporate transactions (M&A, governance, or ESOP work)
• Strong drafting and client‑facing communication skills

Preferred:

• Second language proficiency (German preferred; other languages welcome)
• Experience with ESOP transactions
• Familiarity with Charlotte/North Carolina practice or willingness to obtain NC admission

• Approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility to meet client and transaction needs
• Hybrid work options available; periodic in‑office presence expected
