Purchasing Specialist

Pay Range: $35.00hr - $40.00hr Job Overview:
Responsible for non-engineering procurements, sourcing, updating prices and part numbers in ERP (System: Steev), setting up new vendors, and managing day-to-day vendor and PO tasks. The Purchasing Specialist procures materials, equipment, supplies, and services of a specialized or complex nature in accordance with established purchasing policies and procedures. The role is responsible for non-engineering procurements, sourcing, updating prices and part numbers in the ERP system (Steev), setting up new vendors, and managing day-to-day vendor and purchase order tasks.

The successful candidate will develop and implement cost-effective purchasing strategies within the organization. Key duties include reviewing and evaluating purchase requisitions, recommending process improvements, and overseeing change orders. The candidate will identify and develop new sources of supply, prepare and issue bid requests, specifications, formal invitations, and requests for proposals. Additionally, the role involves analyzing bids, quotes, and proposals, selecting and awarding vendors for procurement needs, and managing contract administration.
