- Prepare proposals for projects or programs, including scope, schedule, fee budget, negotiation, change order preparation, monthly billing, and contract negotiations.
- Accountable for the team’s quality of work, productivity, and actions.
- Oversee and deliver complex, high-value A&E projects with significant strategic or operational impact.
- Maintain executive‑level client relationships; act as trusted advisor for key accounts and long‑term programs.
- Lead all phases of project development, ensuring design excellence, quality control, and technical accuracy.
- Drive financial performance, including profit and loss accountability for assigned projects or portfolios.
- Handle billing, invoicing, and tracking/managing a client’s accounts receivable in collaboration with accounting to ensure on‑time payment.
- Supervise direct reports and manage multiple teams and subconsultants across disciplines and geographic locations.
- Provide mentorship to project managers and assistant project managers.
- Lead contract negotiation, fee development, and project scoping in alignment with business goals and client expectations.
- Partner with business development leaders to pursue new work and grow strategic accounts.
- Establish project goals, performance metrics, and risk‑management protocols in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Advance internal project delivery standards, tools, and training initiatives across the firm.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil engineering, or related field; minimum of 10 years of direct project management experience in design or construction (or 15 years of related experience or training).
- Professional licensure (RA, PE, PS, RLA) preferred.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Strong computer skills for daily timesheet entry and use of Microsoft Outlook.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Deltek, and Newforma.
