Area Manager Utility Locating​/SUE

We are seeking a strategic, hands‑on Area Manager Utility Locating/SUE to lead and grow our operations in the Charlotte, NC region. This role will oversee field crews, manage project delivery, and support client development, ensuring our services meet the highest standards of safety and quality.

• Lead regional field operations including scheduling, resource management, and quality control.
• Supervise and mentor utility locators, field techs, and project leads.
• Ensure project timelines, budgets, and client expectations are met.
• Drive safety compliance and field training programs.
• Support business development and proposal efforts with technical input.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients, municipalities, and contractors.

• 5+ years of experience in utility locating and/or SUE field operations.
• 2+ years in a supervisory, management, or project lead role.
• In‑depth knowledge of utility locating technologies (GPR, EML, etc.) and test hole operations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in field documentation and project management tools.
• Ability to travel locally and work outdoors as needed.
• Valid driver’s license required.
