Safety Manager

DPR Construction is seeking a safety manager, to be based in our Charlotte office. This individual will implement DPR’s environmental health and safety plan (EHSP) and related programs at assigned construction project(s)/business units. The safety manager will work with our project management team and subcontractors to recognize and address potential hazards before they exist and will ensure compliance with our EHSP utilizing behavior-based safety techniques.

We seek a flexible, detail-oriented team player capable of managing multiple tasks, producing quality work, and meeting deadlines. The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 5 years of construction site experience.
• OSHA 500 training certification.
• Certifications such as competent person, train-the-trainer, or other relevant activity-specific certifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• A degree in safety management or CHST certification is a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or OSHPD projects is a plus.
• This is a salary-based position.
