Position Summary

As a Mission Critical General Superintendent you will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising personnel as well as activities concerned with the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and components on multiple projects. You will work with Project Managers, Field Operation Managers, Safety, BIM, Pre‑Fabrication, and QA/QC departments to ensure Adams Electric standards and processes are being fulfilled on each project.

You will help the Field Operation Manager evaluate temporary employees for status with the company (Associate vs temporary). You will supervise and direct the electrical work in logical steps, budgeting the time required to meet deadlines and coordinating with other trades to ensure compliance with the overall project schedule and contract documents of multiple projects.

Training and Development
  • Assist Field Operation Managers with review processes for both Adams employees and associates.
Scheduling
  • Oversight and responsibility for creating and maintaining schedules related to current projects, including organization of current crews and manpower projections throughout the project.
  • Work with Project Managers and Field Operation Managers to develop field organization charts and update schedules and manpower projections weekly.
  • Set and track measurable production goals on the project for individuals and crews.
Material Management / Jobsite Logistics
  • Oversight and responsibility for creating and maintaining material management and logistics plans for current projects, including determining material needs, ordering, receiving, and organizing materials.
  • Develop material management and jobsite logistics plans prior to project start and adjust them throughout the job in collaboration with vendors.
Safety
  • Oversight and responsibility for creating and maintaining Safety plans for current projects, including daily reports, PPE management, and accident management.
  • Work with Onsite Safety Managers to develop project‑specific safety plans and ensure adherence to company standards.
Quality Control
  • Oversight and responsibility for creating and maintaining QA/QC plans for current projects, covering specification and code compliance and internal and contractor punch‑list management.
  • Work with Onsite QA/QC Managers and Field Operation Managers to ensure adherence to QA/QC plans and company standards, testing, and documentation.
BIM / Design
  • Lead layout efforts for BIM prior to the project with assistance from foremen.
  • Review drawings throughout the process to ensure quality control.
  • Work with Project Managers, Field Operation Managers, and the BIM Manager to develop BIM schedules and ensure drawings are delivered and reviewed before pre‑fabrication and onsite installation dates.
Pre‑Fabrication
  • Oversight and responsibility for creating and maintaining pre‑fabrication plans for current projects, including determining appropriate assemblies, ensuring they meet specifications, and managing delivery and installation schedules.
  • Develop pre‑fabrication schedule in collaboration with Project Managers, Field Operation Managers, Prefab Foremen, and the BIM Manager to ensure drawings are delivered and reviewed prior to pre‑fabrication date.
Position Qualifications
  • 10+ years experience as a Superintendent and/or General Superintendent.
  • 3+ years of experience on a Mission Critical Project.
Working Conditions
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (hard hat, vest, protective eyewear, safety boots).
  • Work is performed indoors and outdoors, often exposed to natural elements of cold, heat, moisture, and wind.
  • Must be physically capable of repeatedly lifting and carrying at least 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Must comply with company drug and alcohol testing requirements and background screening processes.
