Job Description

We are seeking a Production Team Lead to work at one of our facilities. The Production Team Lead reports to the Production Supervisor and exercises direct control over a Production department and coordinates with other Production Supervisors.

Responsibilities
  • Directing, coordinating, and planning the activities of a specific production department under master production schedule and the hourly workforce (including machine operators such as milling, mixing, and canning equipment) involved in the manufacture of product.
  • Serving as lead person for a group of hourly employees, normally to a maximum of 15 employees.
  • Communicating procedures to all subordinates, ensuring they are understood and implemented when applicable.
  • Interpreting statistical reports, cycle time specifications, and job orders to workers, and assigning duties.
  • Performing additional assigned duties as directed by Production Supervisor or Production Manager.
  • Managing the 3rd shift position: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am, Sunday‑Thursday.
Qualifications
  • 2 to 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Manufacturing, warehouse, and supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Demonstrated mechanical skills and knowledge of production processes.
  • Excellent math, oral, written, reading, and comprehension skills for reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and other computer skills.
  • Prior experience leading, coaching, and developing a team and delivering performance metrics through others.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles such as OEE, Lean, or TPM.
Additional Qualifications
  • SAP knowledge.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.
  • Proficiency in Spanish, Polish, or sign language.
  • Manufacturing program planning and coordination.
  • UV/TP/OSF (Ink) manufacturing knowledge.
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with inventory control.
  • Experience with change management.
