Splunk Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Splunk Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) . The ideal candidate will manage and expand our Splunk environment, drive performance improvements, and collaborate with teams to implement automation tools using Lean-Agile methodology.

Rate Range: $65/hour to $70/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Splunk Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Manage and expand the Splunk environment to ensure performance, scalability, and sustainability.
• Design and implement system architecture for Splunk deployments across the enterprise.
• Develop and maintain automation tools for CI/CD workflows using tools like Terraform, Open Shift, and Bitbucket.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation tools into the software development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with Splunk infrastructure and automation tools.
• Optimize Splunk performance through continuous monitoring and improvements.
• Maintain and update documentation for automation tools, processes, and Splunk systems.
• Work with infrastructure teams to integrate automation tools with relevant infrastructure components.
• Support Level 3 escalations and troubleshoot complex issues related to Splunk functionality.

Required Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 5+ years of expert-level experience as a Splunk Architect.
• Experience with search head and indexer clustering topology.
• Strong hands-on experience with shell scripting and Linux/Windows system administration.

Pay Details: $65.00 to $70.00 per hour
