Food Safety / Quality Assurance Manager
Location: South Carolina (near Charlotte, NC)
We are partnering with a growing food ingredient manufacturer to identify a hands‑on Food Safety / Quality Assurance Manager to lead plant‑level food safety and quality programs. This role is well‑suited for an early‑to‑mid‑level QA or Food Safety professional who thrives on the production floor and wants to take ownership of day‑to‑day food safety systems in a food manufacturing environment.
What you’ll do- Own food safety and quality programs, including HACCP, GMPs, sanitation, and allergen control
- Lead and support SQF and customer audits
- Ensure compliance with FDA and FSMA requirements
- Investigate quality issues and drive corrective actions
- Partner closely with Operations and cross‑functional teams
- Food manufacturing experience is required
- Background in food safety and quality systems at the plant level
- Experience with GFSI standards such as SQF
- Hands‑on, floor‑focused leadership style
