PRODUCT SUPPORT-YARD REPORTS TO LOGISTICS MANAGER

ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Responsible for the inventory and storage of all reman cores.
  • Receipting, identifying, labeling, inspection, and storage of cores.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Responsible for Emballage collection, storage, and return.
  • Responsible for participating in VPS activities.
PRINCIPAL POSITION ACTIVITIES

All employees are responsible for the quality of their work and customer satisfaction. They are expected to take positive action to improve quality and customer satisfaction; and they are expected to prevent and correct situations that could reduce quality and customer satisfaction.

In addition to the main duties for which this position is accountable, others may be performed as required:

  • Maintains receiving, inspecting, and storage of cores in yard, keeping covered from weather, maintaining basic inventory locations.
  • Moves scheduled components (production staging) to dock for processing.
  • Responsible for maintaining the housekeeping and order of the yard and dock, including wood, recycle, and trash dumpster compaction call offs.
  • Order and designation of storage for other production support materials (racks, frames, etc) including emballage control.
  • Inspects forklift and loader before operation and keeps in operating condition.
  • Dock scheduling as possible – outbound production shipments.
  • Participate in VPS activities – 5S, Loss seeking, Safety, Focused improvement, WPO, Logistics, Kaizen, and other focus areas upon request.
JOB SKILL SET
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and working knowledge of material handling equipment.
  • Ability to operate forklift and general shop equipment & basic computer skills helpful.
SAFETY

Safety glasses required in cleaning building at all times. Safety precautions are to be taken around machine shop equipment, special tools, hazardous material, forklifts and overhead cranes. High level of alertness at all times.

For this position, the base pay is set at $22.83 - $28.20/ hour, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
