Join our production team as a Mixing Operator and become a key player in creating our high-quality products. You'll be responsible for the entire mixing process, from setting up and operating the equipment to ensuring quality control and performing basic maintenance.

  • Strict adherence to all safety procedures for handling flammable solvents is essential.
  • Set up and operate coating machines for production schedules and job specifications.
  • Load and unload materials, ensuring proper feeding and alignment through the machine.
  • Must adhere to detailed written instructions for handling flammable solvents, resins, and solid chemicals. (Respirator required)
  • Monitor machine operation, adjusting settings for factors like speed, temperature, and coating thickness as needed.
  • Perform changeovers, including carts and Cylinder prep, roll changes, and material transfers (forklift, pallet jack, dolly).
  • Perform basic cleaning and preventive maintenance tasks on coating equipment.
  • Conduct quality control checks on coated materials, adhering to established standards and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate production parameters and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Maintain communication with other departments.
  • Other duties as required.
Skills and Abilities
  • Effective communication: Collaborate clearly with operators, helpers, and team members to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Math skills: Utilize basic math skills for tasks like interpreting production specifications
  • Quality control: Possess a keen eye for detail and the ability to distinguish colors precisely to conduct thorough quality inspections.
  • Safety compliance: Demonstrate a commitment to safety by adhering to respirator requirements as per OSHA standards.
  • Physical abilities: Meet the physical demands of the role, including static pull strength of 84 lbs., push 60 lbs., lift 50 lbs.
  • Mobility: Climb steps frequently and maintain sustained focus for an extended periods.
  • Technical skills: Possess basic computer skills to operate production related software and maintain digital records.
  • Continuous improvement: Maintain a process optimization mindset.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic and intermediate math skills.
  • Forklift Certified.
  • Mixing Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP/Microsoft Office.
