Forklift Driver

Pay Rate: $20.27

Location: 3700 Display Drive, Charlotte, NC 28273

Safely and efficiently operate gas or electric powered tow motors, lift trucks, hand trucks or lifts, to load, unload, move, stack or haul raw materials, in‑process materials, products or finished goods in support of receiving, shipping and production operations.

• Maintain a good safety and attendance record.
• Work 40 hours per week and overtime as necessary.
• Meet daily productivity and quality goals.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned work areas.
• Follow all site wide GMP policies.
• Perform constant standing, walking, sitting; frequent twisting, bending, lifting from ground; occasionally reaching and crouching.
• Lift 1–30 lbs daily and up to 50 lbs infrequently.
• Get on and off forklifts daily (~20 times a day).
• Assist in any department as needed to support overall operational efficiencies.

• Possess a valid “powered industrial operators permit”.
• Complete and pass advanced forklift certification testing.
• Demonstrate knowledge and proven use of forklift operator specific safety and operational rules and regulations.
• Operate portable scanner equipment as needed.
• Complete and maintain training for battery changing equipment (Multi Shifter).
• Understand battery maintenance and safety processes.
• Complete and maintain training for Mac & Wultec Wrappers.
• Follow all dock safety procedures and use of dock safety tools.
• Understand and validate BOL/Packing Slips for inbound shipments and departures.
• Safely accept and complete job assignments with direction.
• Coordinate 2–3 drivers/clerks in isolated building or area.
• Apply common sense in following written or oral instructions and handling forklift related problems.
