Job Description & How to Apply Below
A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Manufacturing Engineer supporting Valve Components, you will develop and maintain accurate SAP machining routings that enable safe, efficient, and high-quality production. You'll work closely with operators, CNC programmers, quality, scheduling, maintenance, and design engineering to translate engineering requirements into practical manufacturing processes. Through shop floor engagement, process analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives, you will identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and support production goals.

This role requires a hands-on approach to resolving manufacturing challenges while ensuring routing accuracy, process consistency, and operational excellence.

How You'll Make An Impact
  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve SAP machining routings, work instructions, labor standards, cycle times, tooling requirements, and production documentation to support valve component manufacturing.
  • Partner with operations, quality, CNC programming, maintenance, scheduling, and design engineering teams to ensure routings are executable, efficient, and aligned with production requirements.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes through shop‑floor observation, cycle‑time studies, and production data to identify opportunities for improved throughput, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate tooling, fixturing, gauging, and machine capability requirements to ensure successful production execution and process stability.
  • Support new product introductions, process improvements, and capacity expansion projects by delivering routing updates, manufacturing solutions, and technical support.
  • Train production personnel on manufacturing processes, routing procedures, and best practices while promoting standardization and continuous improvement across operations.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2+ years of experience in machining, manufacturing engineering, process planning, routing development, or production support within a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of CNC machining processes including turning, milling, drilling, grinding, work holding, tooling selection, and manufacturing troubleshooting.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, material specifications, and inspection requirements and translate them into practical manufacturing processes and SAP routings.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with operations, quality, maintenance, scheduling, CNC programmers, and engineering teams to solve manufacturing challenges and improve performance.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
