POSITION OVERVIEW:

Charlotte Eagles Soccer Club is a part of Missionary Athletes International, which is a Gospel-centered ministry that introduces people to Jesus Christ, teaches them to follow Him, and empowers them as leaders through the global environment of soccer.

All Charlotte Eagles staff are members of the MAI missionary community and actively participate in the spiritual life of that community and prioritize the ongoing study and growth in the mastery of God’s Word.

Across MAI, we are ‘Playing A Game To Change The World’ nationally and internationally. This role contributes to the following Programmatic Pillar(s).

The Girls’ Pathway Director is responsible for overseeing that all three MAI missional imperatives (Evangelism, Discipleship, Leadership Empowerment) are being pursued and implemented in all girls’ programming. This position leads ministry efforts and strategy with a plan for prayer, staffing development, and player development. All Eagles staff are members of the Charlotte Eagles community first and are expected to participate in the life of the Charlotte Eagles office as well as pursuing a daily relationship with Jesus, including being a member of a local church.

KEY

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Girls’ Pathway Director
  • Lead vision, direction and delegation for the Girls’ Club with:
    • Program Development
    • Recruiting participants, coaches and staff
    • Volunteer Mobilization
  • USLW Head Coach
  • Coach 1 Girls Club Team (Youth)
  • Develop an intentional relational culture with girls’ coaches and girls’ teams.
  • Develop the game model and technical development strategy for the girls’ club alongside the Technical Director and oversee the implementation through the entire pathway.
  • Train, support and mentor girls’ club coaches.
  • Grow existing relationships and build new relationships with other local Club Directors and Leadership in league platforms, with the focus on regular strategy for positioning CESC for appropriate leagues.
  • Lead tryout strategy and team formation for all Girls’ Club teams.
  • Lead and manage appropriate player movement between teams.
  • Lead an unmatched off‑field discipleship and relational culture in the girls’ club landscape.
  • Lead vision for clinics and other community engagement strategies to deepen community relations and recruit families into the ministry.
  • Lead and manage weekly Girls' Club meetings.
  • Participate in monthly Club department meetings.
  • Manage USL Academy Girls staffing.
  • Oversee player recruitment
  • Lead on‑field player and team development
  • Lead scheduling in coordination with the men’s staff and the rest of Summer Ministry
  • Foster intentional relationship with USL women’s league office.
  • Model a genuine reliance on prayer and daily walk with the Lord that is essential to leading in this ministry.
  • Support raising is an ongoing process that begins by inviting others to participate in the ministry of MAI through prayer and the giving of resources. Support raising involves maintaining those relationships through personal communications, newsletters, and face‑to‑face meetings. Support raising is an essential component to the ministry of MAI.
  • All ministry staff will work with other team members to support any needed area of the ministry. Just as Jesus came not to be served but to serve, all Eagles staff should carry the same posture.
  • Other duties as assigned by Executive Director or Technical Director to support the mission.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The responsibilities listed above will be demonstrated by these clear, measurable items:

  • Missional imperative updates are easily communicated at any time – where things are going well, what still needs to be developed, strategy for development where needed, etc.
  • Recruit and create appropriate girls’ teams each year as strategized with the Techinical Director.
  • Support raising goals are reached.
TIME COMMITMENT:

The weekly hours commitment above may include duties requiring evening and/or weekend hours which could cause each week's work schedule to look different. As such, your general daytime weekday hours and any evening/weekend should match the total hours figure. Regular communication with your supervisor regarding your weekly schedule is encouraged.

Full Time located in Charlotte

  • Proven leadership experience in youth/college soccer, operations and staff development.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in coach education, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Deep commitment to MAI mission & vision, and long‑term development model of Charlotte Eagles Girls programming.
