Whether you work at our headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove (BGTC) in Asheville, North Carolina, Blue Ridge Broadcasting (BRB) in Asheville, North Carolina or a field office abroad, you are part of a team of committed Christians working together to reach people to the ends of the earth with the Gospel.

Christian Purpose And Expectations

All employees proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through their employment, and thereby further BGEA’s religious mission.

Department Detail – The Church Ministry department supports the mission of BGEA to proclaim the Gospel to all we can by every effective means available to us, by encouraging and equipping churches and others to do the same. Church Ministry coordinators and volunteers across the US seek to build relationships with pastors by supporting their ministry in prayer and offering BGEA resources, such as evangelism training, as aids to their ministry.

The Church Ministry department is also central to the Franklin Graham God Loves You Tours, by involving pastors and churches in the work of evangelism.

Job Summary – This position supports the God Loves You Tour by communicating with thousands of volunteers prior to the tour.

Ministry Requirements

  • Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
  • Faithfully upholds BGEA in prayer
  • Participates in daily BGEA staff devotions including Bible reading, and leading group prayer as schedule permits
  • Demonstrates behavior aligned with BGEA’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Hallmarks, policies, and expectations
  • Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Monitors and serves as a primary contact to the assigned volunteer email inbox(s) and text stream
  • Utilizes the following BGEA systems to effectively communicate with all volunteers:
    Outlook email & Echo system for 2-way texting
  • Provides answers to frequently asked questions related to serving and the tour
  • Assists in creating a positive and meaningful experience via communications for tour volunteers
  • Makes outbound phone call projects as assigned
Marginal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collects information needed for data team input on pre-tour volunteer registration cards
  • Provides statistical support documents, as requested
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Specifications

Skills and Knowledge
  • Minimum of high school education with preference for associate level degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in written form.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and process management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines on time and strong attention to detail.
  • Basic volunteer engagement and problem solving skills.
  • Must be responsive to incoming/outgoing telephone calls, emails and text messaging.
  • Willingness to be a supportive team member with a consistent positive attitude.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
