Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support the agency mission by providing hope and healing to those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child maltreatment by:
- Using a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to:
- As applicable, provide intake, assessment, case management, crisis intervention, safety planning, court education, information, and referrals.
- Ensure coordinated client care with key community partners.
- Act with client in mind and work to meet client's needs and expectations to the extent possible.
- Administration
- Maintain confidential and accurate, up to date client, stakeholder, intern, and volunteer records, program and agency records in agency databases including CSN, Raiser's Edge and Paycom.
- Research, write, and manage grant reporting and grantor relationships as assigned by supervisor.
- Adhere to agency and program procedures concerning documentation, Critical Incident Reports, and Client Satisfaction Surveys, and participate in the Quality Assurance process.
- Stewardship
- Increase awareness of victimization, prevention, and available resources through public speaking and media requests as assigned by supervisor.
- Participate in community meetings and committees as assigned by supervisor.
- Promote and maintain professional relationships with agency staff, volunteers, interns, stakeholders, and community partners.
- Professional Development
- Contribute to quality of services by staying informed of best practices, developments and trends in the area of trauma and victimization, especially as it relates to intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and child maltreatment.
- Maintain and develop skills and knowledge by attending training and ensure licensure and certifications are up to date as needed for the job.
- Shelter Volunteer Coordination - 50 %
- Maintain structured, systematic, streamlined, and equitable processes that will outlast changes in staffing to ensure perpetual and mutually beneficial relationships for:
- Volunteer recruitment, screening, training, scheduling, management, tracking, appreciation, and retention for all Shelter-based volunteer opportunities.
- Collaborate with Shelter staff to identify and prioritize opportunities to partner volunteers alongside existing Shelter programming and special opportunities to benefit Shelter guests.
- Steward current and prospective corporate and individual donors by coordinating and prioritizing opportunities for these groups to experience the work of Safe Alliance through volunteering and engagement at the Shelter
- Maintain structured, systematic, streamlined, and equitable processes that will outlast changes in staffing to ensure perpetual and mutually beneficial relationships for:
- Collection Drive Coordination - 40 %
- Serve as the primary point of contact to coordinate logistics for gift‑in‑kind collection drives including drop‑off scheduling, donor stewardship, transportation, and storage. Outreach & Events Associate will be the secondary point of contact.
- Manage all needs and requests from Safe Alliance programs, including Shelter, through the Amazon Wish List and Needs List one‑pager, and maintain drive‑related logging and reporting on forecasted shortages.
- Oversee the agency's Sheltermart process, the primary way collection drive items are utilized.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with community partners, businesses, schools, civic groups, and faith organizations to host drives.
- Tabling, Volunteer Fairs & Speaking Engagements - 10 %
- Positively represent Safe Alliance, its mission, programs, outputs/outcomes, current initiatives, and opportunities for engagement at various community events as assigned
- Contribute to agency effectiveness by performing other duties as assigned.

- Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience - Preferences:
Ability to work with those that have or are being victimized. - Language:

- Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, twist, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
