Registered Nurse; RN Medical Telemetry

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical Telemetry Unit. Up to $15,000 Sign-On Bonus available for qualified candidates! Please ask the recruiter for details.

Hours/Shift: 36-hours per week, Day Shift. Our Medical Telemetry is 2 units in one. The unit is comprised of 24 beds; 17 beds of medical telemetry patients, and 7 beds for stroke/neuro patients. The unit takes care of adults with stroke rule out, TIA, CVA, syncope, COPD, CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and other acute problems needing telemetry monitoring. BLS is required, ACLS preferred, telemetry knowledge preferred but will be taught if unknown, NIHSS required (or will be taught).

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (preferred)
• Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program.

• Registered nursing License (required)
• Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire
• ACLS (preferred)

• None required
• 1 year of acute care (preferred)
• Previous healthcare experience (preferred)
• Telemetry knowledge (preferred)
