Position Information
This position supports the Mission, Values and Vision of Carolina Family Health Centers, Inc. The Licensed Practical Nurse serves as patients’ first contact in the medical area, preparing patients for examination, assisting the medical provider with examinations, procedures, treatments and patient education, as necessary.

THIS POSITION OFFERS A 40-HOUR WORKWEEK, NO WEEKENDS, FULL BENEFITS PACKAGE, 12 PAID HOLIDAYS, BI-WEEKLY PAY.

Experience Requirements / Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing as an LPN.
• Current and unrestricted license to practice in North Carolina.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deal with the public in a courteous and respectful manner.
• Must be detail oriented.

Education Required
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing as an LPN or graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants. Current and unrestricted license to practice in North Carolina.

Hours of Work
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday - 8am-5pm
Thursday - 11am-8pm (with one-hour dinner)

Physical Requirements
Individuals may need to sit or stand for long periods of time, occasional bending, stooping, lifting including of patients, reaching forward and overhead. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periods throughout the day. Proper lifting techniques required. Frequent computer work required. Must be able to travel freely in the local area; between clinics, hospitals, health departments, etc.
