, a 50‑bed skilled nursing facility in Mills River, North Carolina.

• Hold overall accountability for leadership, direction, and administration of day‑to‑day operations associated with direct patient care.
• Direct, oversee, and evaluate all nursing personnel including nurses, medication aides, certified nursing assistants, and nursing aides in training.
• Guide staffing procedures and set objectives and long‑term goals for the nursing department.
• Organize and coordinate admission, nursing, and patient care procedures.
• Develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high‑quality standards.
• Control budgets and monitor expenditures within the department, including supplies and payroll.
• Resolve issues and deficiencies by completing performance improvement plans when needed.
• Manage record‑keeping procedures and collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations.
• Report directly to the Administrator.

• Maintains a current/unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
• A passion for working with seniors.
• 1+ years of nursing management in the long‑term care industry, with experience in hiring, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and daily operations supervision.
• Experience tracking, trending, and analyzing infection control and other clinical data.
• Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel.
• Great communication and people skills, including maintaining a good rapport with surrounding hospitals and organizations.
• Outstanding organizational and stress‑management skills.
• Aptitude in problem‑solving.
• Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration with strong knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare.
