• Location: Charlotte, NC 28203 (North Carolina nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Mattei Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (14 beds, average census 11)
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 22, 2025
• Contract Length: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts ), Thursday, Friday, Saturday
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1780 - $1910
• On-Site Position

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or CTICU experience at a similar level
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Clinical experience with high-acuity cardiac surgery patients and advanced cardiac devices (ECMO, Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD)
• Ability to present on patients once per shift (1500 and 2030)
• First-time travelers not accepted

• Deliver expert nursing care to post-cardiac surgery patients, including those with ECMO, Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD devices
• Manage a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in a high-acuity CVICU environment
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including CNAs, charge nurses, respiratory therapists, intensivists, and hospitalists
• Participate in patient presentations and interdisciplinary rounds
• Float to other adult critical care units as needed
• Maintain proactive, team-oriented care and uphold the unit’s culture of excellence
