Vents, IV Start, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), ICP Monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Lumbar Drain experience
*** Strong Neuro experience, MUST BE 2 YEARS, NO LESS**

Ratios 2:1 (can flex up to 3:1 in high census and nurse must be comfortable with this if needed). Average Daily Census 11-12 SHIFT:

We are a comprehensive stroke center. Patient population: strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic [SAH]), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, seizures, Depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis. Drains used: EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, Camino (ICP monitoring) SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS:
Comprehensive Stroke Center SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: EVD, Lumbar Drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM and Arctic Sun. UNIT SYSTEMS:
Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR SCHEDULING TYPE:
Per the Unit Needs UNIT ORIENTATION: 24.0 Hours; 2 days or 2 nights SCRUBS:
Navy blue & White.
