Travel Nurse Source  is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Hickory, North Carolina, 28601!

Travel RN – Emergency Room

Hickory, NC | Acute Care

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM | Expected 36 hours/week | Weekend rotation every other weekend

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, 32-bed Emergency Department serving a birth-to-death patient population
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:5, utilizing critical care thinking and clinical stamina in a high-volume environment
• Operate and document within the Cerner EHR system
• Respond to and assist with all trauma presentations, strokes, STEMIs, and other emergent conditions
• Float to other areas of the facility as needed based on individual competencies
• Adhere to call requirements, which may include push-back hours depending on census

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• ACLS certification required
• PALS or ENPC certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• CPI or HWC certification required prior to start — cannot be completed on site
• Cerner EHR experience required
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered for travel rates

• Experience in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment
• Clinical experience managing stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients
• Strong patient and family communication skills
• Energetic, knowledgeable, and adaptable personality well-suited to high-acuity settings

• Opportunity to work in a well-established acute care facility home to specialized centers including a Brain Center, Heart Center, Cancer Center, and a Level 3 NICU
• Gain experience in a comprehensive Emergency Department that receives all trauma presentations in a dynamic, full-service medical center environment
