Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Greenville, NC | Acute Care

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

• Provide emergency nursing care within a 92-bed unit serving a high-acuity patient population
• Manage patients presenting with acute stroke, seizures, congestive heart failure, sepsis, acute MI, trauma, and diabetes-related conditions
• Care for neuro-medicine and neurosurgical subspecialty populations including ischemic, hemorrhagic, and SAH stroke presentations
• Administer and monitor IV drips and telemetry in accordance with unit protocols
• Maintain a 1:4 RN-to-patient staffing ratio
• Fulfill weekend commitment of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

• Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
• BLS certification – American Heart Association
• ACLS certification – American Heart Association
• PALS certification – American Heart Association
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Telemetry and IV drip experience required
• Must reside at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Strong Level I Trauma experience
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• ESI Triage training
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records

• Opportunity to work in a high-acuity emergency setting with a diverse and complex patient population including trauma and neurosurgical subspecialties
• CPI Blue Certification may be obtained on site, supporting your professional development
