Description:

Cross posting for Labor and Delivery positions. Required skills include labor inductions, IUFDs, and managing multiple drips such as Pitocin, magnesium, and insulin. Traveler candidates will be accepted for this position, including first-time travelers. Local candidates are accepted with a rate difference. The unit has a patient ratio of 1:2, with a total of 21 rooms and beds. Weekend work every other weekend is required.

Candidates must float within Women's Services as needed. The patient population includes individuals 14 weeks and above pregnant. Resuscitation is offered for patients 22 weeks and above. Labor and delivery occur in the same suite, which includes three operating rooms and recovery areas. It is important for candidates to be familiar with special procedures and equipment used in this specialty.

Candidates must be able to manage both labor and postpartum situations, including preeclampsia and hemorrhages. There is a call requirement of two on-call shifts per six-week track, with at least one being a weekend day. Previous experience with the EPIC charting system is required. The dress code requires natural hair colors. Additional responsibilities may include circulating in the OR and managing epidural anesthesia.

Candidates should be prepared to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
