The Invasive Cardiology Prep/Recovery team supports a high-acuity cardiovascular service line at Advocate Health's flagship Charlotte campus. Our department provides pre-procedure and post-procedure care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac, electrophysiology, structural heart, heart failure, and vascular procedures across eight procedural suites. As the region's tertiary referral center, we care for some of the most complex cardiovascular patients in the Charlotte market.
Patient populations include inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular patients requiring advanced procedural interventions, including coronary and peripheral interventions, electrophysiology procedures, structural heart therapies, heart failure treatments, and mechanical circulatory support therapies. This is a fast-paced, team-based environment where nurses utilize critical thinking, advanced assessment skills, and collaborative care practices to safely prepare patients for procedures and provide recovery care following moderate sedation, anesthesia, and complex cardiovascular interventions.
Our team nursing model promotes strong collaboration among nurses, physicians, advanced practice providers, anesthesia professionals, and procedural staff to deliver exceptional patient care and outcomes. Team members are expected to thrive in a dynamic setting where patient acuity, volume, and procedural complexity require flexibility, efficiency, and a commitment to clinical excellence.
